Project Description

EAAD leads the development of the intervention components for depression/anxiety and creation and maintenance of the MINDUP Hub, as well as participates in the pilot and cluster randomised controlled trial in cooperation with the German Depression Foundation. EAAD also leads the communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.

Prof. Ulrich Hegerl is on the Board of Directors of EAAD. He is also Professor and Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Leipzig. Prof. Hegerl is an international expert in depression research and suicide prevention and has coordinated several large EU-funded projects on these topics (e.g. PREDI-NU, OSPI Europe).

Ms Juliane Hug is a project coordinator and research associate at EAAD and a psychotherapist in training. She coordinates EAAD activities, including the international implementation of the iFightDepression tool and additional EU research projects in the field of mental health, eMental Health and e-learning.

Ms Pia Drießen is a research associate at EAAD, supporting the coordination of the organisation and the iFightDepression tool.

Ms. Ilinca Serbanescu is a coordinator at EAAD and a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology. Besides coordinating EAAD´s international activities and EU research projects targeting to improve care for patients with depression and to prevent suicide, she also manages the international implementation of the iFightDepression tool in different countries partnering with EAAD.

Josephine Kreutzer holds a degree in Communication Management (M.A.). Previously she worked at the German Depression Foundation communication department (event communication and social media).
